Personal, professional and focused on cats.
My name is Christian. As a cat lover and the owner of three cats, I know how important calm, routine and trust are. My own cats all have their own character, boundaries and habits. That is exactly why I understand how differently cats can respond to attention, change and unfamiliar people in their home.
Cats often feel most comfortable in their own environment, but while you are away, they still need someone who pays attention, acts calmly and respects their familiar routine.
Every cat communicates differently. Some cats come over for cuddles straight away, while others prefer to watch from a distance first. That is why I adapt each visit to your cat’s character, habits, possible medication and pace.
For me, cat care is about more than feeding and cleaning the litter box. I pay attention to behavior, wellbeing, appetite and the small signals that can show how your cat is really doing. This way, your cat receives not only practical care, but also attention, calm and reliable check-ins at home.

Free introduction
Before the first cat sitting period, I will visit you for a free introduction to get to know you and your cat.
We discuss the daily routine, feeding, care, medication and any special details. That way, I know exactly what your cat needs.
Key handover
Before the cat sitting period, we agree on the most practical way to arrange the key handover.
You can bring or collect the key yourself, or we can agree on a convenient moment together. Keys are stored carefully and discreetly, without an address label.
Enjoy your holiday with peace of mind
While you are away, your cat receives care in their own familiar environment.
From food and fresh water to a clean litter box, attention, playtime and a welfare check: everything is taken care of as discussed beforehand.
Updates while you are away
After every visit, you receive a personal update with photos and/or videos via WhatsApp.
That way, you know how your cat is doing, even from a distance.

Travel costs
To keep the care rates equal for everyone, travel costs are calculated separately. This way, a customer who lives nearby does not contribute to the travel costs of a customer who lives farther away.
Travel costs are calculated based on the return distance between my business address and the visit address. The shortest route is used for this calculation.
Travel costs are calculated in advance and included in the quote, so there are no surprises.

If your cat needs medical help during the sitting period, Kattenoppas Enschede always acts in the interest of the cat.
Where possible, the owner or listed emergency contact is contacted first. If immediate medical care is necessary and timely contact is not possible, Kattenoppas Enschede may independently decide to visit a veterinarian or emergency clinic.

The cat's own veterinarian is preferred. If they are unavailable or the situation requires it, another suitable available veterinarian or emergency clinic may be chosen.
Costs for consultation, treatment, medication and any other veterinary costs are always paid by the owner.

How long is a visit?
You can choose between different packages: Basic (15 minutes), Comfort (25 minutes) or Premium (40 minutes).
The best option depends on your cat, their daily routine and how much care or attention is needed.
During the introduction visit, we look together at what suits both your cat and your wishes as an owner.
How do I know which package suits me best?
The right choice depends on several factors at once: how many cats you have, your cat’s personality, how much care they need and whether medication or other extra care is required.
Social cats or cats who enjoy a lot of attention often benefit from a longer visit, because it leaves more room for play, cuddles and extra observation.
A calm cat, or a cat that spends a lot of time outside and mainly comes home to eat, may be perfectly well served by a Basic visit.
During the free introductory meeting, I give honest advice so you are not paying for more time than is necessary.
Do you visit beforehand to meet my cat?
Yes. Before the first cat sitting period, we always plan a free introduction visit at your home.
This is not only for practical details, but especially to meet your cat calmly.
We discuss the daily routine, feeding, litter box, personality, favourite spots, medication and any special requirements.
This helps keep the care as familiar as possible while you are away.
Will I receive updates while I am away?
Yes. After every home visit you receive a personal update via WhatsApp.
During the visit, I try to take a few nice photos or short videos whenever your cat is comfortable with that.
I send the best moments to you, so you can see how things are going at home.
Can my cat stay at home?
Yes, that is exactly the main advantage of cat sitting at home.
Many cats become stressed by a cattery or temporary move. New smells, unfamiliar sounds and a different environment can cause a lot of tension.
With cat sitting at home, your cat stays safe in their familiar environment, with the same smells, sleeping places and daily routine.
What if my cat needs medication?
Giving medication according to the owner's instructions is possible.
During the introduction visit, we calmly discuss what care is needed and how your cat usually responds.
There is experience with oral medication such as tablets and liquid medication, as well as with cats with asthma who need a daily inhaler.
