Terms and Conditions

Clear agreements and a transparent approach for reliable in-home cat sitting.

1. Bookings

Bookings are discussed in advance between the owner and Kattenoppas Enschede.

A booking becomes final after the period, type of care and rates have been confirmed and the quotation/order confirmation has been accepted by the customer.

The agreements and rates set out in the accepted quotation are leading.

During visits, Kattenoppas Enschede follows the discussed instructions and the cat's normal routine as much as possible.

2. Payment

Payment follows the payment term stated on the invoice.

When the schedule allows it, a visit or package can be extended in consultation.

Additional costs, such as extra care time, necessary purchases for the cat or additional agreed services, may be processed afterwards based on actual usage or calculation.

3. Care & wellbeing

Every cat has their own character, habits and needs. Kattenoppas Enschede matches the care as closely as possible to the cat's familiar routine and the agreements made with the owner.

Besides food, water and a clean litter box, every visit includes attention to behaviour, wellbeing and any relevant details.

Care is provided carefully and hygienically, with attention to a safe environment and reducing unnecessary risks.

4. Medication

Kattenoppas Enschede can administer medication when this has been discussed in advance.

This is always done according to clear instructions from the owner.

During the intake, medication, health and any relevant details are discussed so the care can match the cat's needs.

The owner provides sufficient medication and required supplies for the care period.

5. Emergencies and veterinary care

During visits, Kattenoppas Enschede monitors the cat's health and wellbeing. If there are concerns, Kattenoppas Enschede will first try to contact the owner and/or emergency contact.

If Kattenoppas Enschede believes immediate medical care is necessary and the owner cannot be reached in time, the owner authorizes Kattenoppas Enschede to independently contact a veterinarian, visit a veterinarian and take necessary steps in the interest of the cat.

6. Key handling

Key handover means a temporary transfer of the key before and after a booking.

Key management is an optional service where Kattenoppas Enschede securely keeps a key for returning customers, so a new handover is not needed for every booking.

Keys are kept carefully and discreetly.

No address labels are attached to keys.

7. Liability

Kattenoppas Enschede carries out the care carefully and according to the agreements made.

The owner remains responsible for existing health issues, the cat's behaviour and circumstances in or around the home that are outside the control of Kattenoppas Enschede.

Naturally, Kattenoppas Enschede accepts responsibility in case of proven negligence during the care provided.

8. Cancellation

Cancellations should be communicated as soon as possible.

Because Kattenoppas Enschede reserves time and has limited availability during busy periods, cancellation is free of charge up to 72 hours before the first scheduled appointment.

For cancellations within 72 hours, costs may be charged depending on the situation and the reserved period.

9. Force majeure

Force majeure refers to situations outside reasonable control, such as illness, emergencies, extreme weather or other circumstances that make performance reasonably impossible.

In such situations, contact will be made as soon as possible to find a suitable solution together.

10. Trust & care

Every cat has their own character. Some cats seek attention and interaction, while others mainly need calm and their familiar surroundings.

Kattenoppas Enschede takes these differences into account and cares for every cat with patience, respect and attention to their own routine.

The aim is for your cat to feel safe and at ease while you are away.
